Astro Klean completely overhauled an entire yard on a Gold Coast canal front property, where machinery access was virtually impossible.
Over the course of 10 weeks, the team removed garden beds and mature palms, constructed expansive decking to create a level foundation for synthetic turf, opting for SYNLawn Classic 35, and seamlessly integrated a sunken spa, custom firepit area, and concrete platforms to ensure lasting stability.
Showing outstanding craftsmanship and excellent planning, the Astro Klean team were delighted to complete this project, which also included the installation of new boundary fencing and a bespoke BBQ hut—delivering not just a stunning transformation but a functional, multi-use outdoor retreat.

A once-disused tennis court has been transformed into a cutting-edge multi-sport hub, featuring the world’s first Laykold Panoramic Outdoor Padel Court with Laykold Padel Turf Pro synthetic grass in blue and green. Delivered by Synthetic Padel Group in collaboration with Grassports Victoria, the private facility combines a state-of-the-art padel court with a basketball key and futsal court, creating the ultimate destination for active at-home living and entertainment.
Constructed with 80% aluminium, the innovative court is one of the greenest padel courts globally, reinforcing a strong commitment to sustainability. The project included the removal of the existing tennis court, installation of premium Laykold Padel Turf Pro surfaces, synthetic grass surrounds, and futsal goals — completely reimagining the space into a vibrant, future-focused recreational facility.

Project: Paratai Drive Golf Patio Putting Green

GameOn Turf successfully delivered a premium golf project, consisting of dual putting greens, a short game practice area, topped off with three tee boxes.
The incredible view from the elevated area was stunning, but it made completing this project no easy feat, the GameOn Turf team were challenged with having to crane in all the materials required. However, with careful planning and a high-end client in mind, the team put their skills on display.
To cater for the scale and requirements, GameOn Turf opted to use an all-star combination of SYNLawn products, including Precision Putt, Shot Stopper system and SYNtrap for the bunker and Tee Strike for the tee boxes. Finally, it was topped off by surrounding the greens with a SYNLawn Comfort Plus apron and SYNLawn Comfort Elite 50 rough. Using the best of the SYNLawn golf range, this project is a standout amongst synthetic golf installations and certainly met the high expectations of the luxury client.

This Queensland residential backyard was transformed into a premium at-home putting green by Astro Klean, creating a resort-style space for relaxation, recreation, and year-round entertaining.
Featuring SYNLawn Nouveau 35mm surrounding turf and Pro Putt surface, both manufactured by APT Asia Pacific, the design delivers a natural aesthetic alongside high-performance playability for golf enthusiasts of all skill levels.
Carefully integrated into the existing pool and landscaping area, the curved design maximises the available space while complementing the home’s tropical surrounds. The result is a low-maintenance, visually striking putting green that blends luxury outdoor living with functional family entertainment.

Grassports QLD had the pleasure of completing an installation at the high energy Victoria Park pump track. Funded by the Brisbane City Council, the track is just one of the key initiatives to re-develop the 45-hectare Victoria Park into a green and leafy zone to become a lifestyle destination in Brisbane. The thrilling course features jumps, bumps, and banked turns which is perfect for BMX and Scooter riders of all ages.
Featuring our SYNLawn Comfort Plus 30, Grassports QLD expertly installed the turf both inside and around the 260m track. The result is a top-quality finish and an integration of performance and design in recreational space that seamlessly blends into the connecting expansive greenspace that lies alongside the many pathways of the park.

Belmore School is a thoughtful and inclusive educational playscape designed to support children of all abilities through sensory-rich, imaginative play. Delivered by Barefoot, the project reflects years of experience creating engaging educational environments tailored to young minds. Wide access ramps connect children to a custom cypress pine playfort and pirate ship, while carefully positioned sensory boards encourage interaction and ease of access for non-ambulant users.
Vibrant EPDM premium soft-fall surfacing and SYNLawn Classic 35 synthetic turf combine with lush greenery, water play, musical elements, and sandpit zones to create a stimulating and welcoming environment.
Designed to encourage motor skill development, creativity, and exploration, the space is a brilliant representation of a mindful and intuitive educational play area for every child.

Taarak Park, in The Allara Estate in Perth, is a vibrant community hub designed for play, connection, and family fun. At its heart is a 600m² fenced Laykold multi-sport court, installed by West Coast Sporting Surfaces using bold vibrant colours. The team carefully marked out the architect’s intricate design with a surveyor, spending over eight hours on layout and completing much of the work by hand. A highlight is the elevated DJ deck with Bluetooth speakers, letting players stream their own music. In just 10 days, this space was transformed into a go-to destination for sport, music, and community.

Completed in late 2024, Hubei Tennis Academy in Jingshan, Hubei Province, China, represents a significant milestone for tennis infrastructure in the region. Recognised as a prestigious training institution with a strong reputation for developing emerging tennis talent, the academy provides athletes with a world-class environment to train and compete at the highest level.
Delivered by Guangdong UHS Sports Co., Ltd, the project spans an impressive 22,000m² and features Laykold Masters Cushion Plus surface throughout the facility. The development also marks the first ITF-certified Laykold court in China, reinforcing Laykold’s growing presence in the region and commitment to delivering elite-performance tennis systems worldwide.

Project: Australian Open Google Pixel Activation

Grandslam Surfaces was offered the unique opportunity by major sponsor of the Australian Open, Google Pixel, to create a feature at their activation zone. The result was an eye-catching tennis court spanning from floor to wall, to ceiling and becoming a photo wall zone that would be visited by thousands of tennis fans across the two weeks of competition.
The court design was created using our Laykold colours on 7mm rubber, chosen to be a vibrant backdrop for photos and videos, that display true to colour on screen, driving fan engagement both in person and across social media. The creative design was made for challenging execution, but the Grandslam Surfaces showed their dedication to their craft, bringing in around 20 staff members on site to support the weight of the wall. Organisers were thrilled with the result, calling it “Courtside Magic” as it became a must visit zone.

This meaningful hospital courtyard project combines Indigenous storytelling with therapeutic outdoor design to create calming spaces that support both mental and physical wellbeing. Using the extensive colour versatility and seamless installation capabilities of EPDM rubber surfacing, the courtyards were transformed into vibrant, culturally significant environments inspired by an Indigenous Elder and their family gathering for a meeting — a practice deeply rooted in Aboriginal culture and community connection.
Designed for both general and psychiatric hospital patients, the surfaces provide a safe, durable, and low-maintenance solution suitable for all weather conditions. Manufactured from environmentally friendly virgin materials, the EPDM system offers long-term colour stability, easy maintenance, and a seamless finish that removes trip hazards while creating accessible and welcoming outdoor spaces for patients, visitors, and staff.
Celebrating the rich heritage of the Awabakal people, the project not only enhances patient wellbeing through colour, comfort, and connection to nature, but also honours and preserves Indigenous culture through thoughtfully integrated design.

Easy Turf had the pleasure of transforming an unusable and outdated asphalt area at the Wodonga Primary School, into an outdoor sports facility that engages their active students and broader school community.
The scope of work was extensive, with the Easy Turf team leading the way, from readying the existing worn out surface and creating a stable foundation, to designing and catering to a variety of sporting applications. Our Supergrasse Pro 17 synthetic turf was chosen, as a premium product available in some key striking colours, able to withstand high wear and accommodate multiple line markings such as basketball, netball, four square, and even a two lane running track.
Wodonga Primary School are delighted to now have their very own all-weather sporting area that supports their growing young athletes.

Project: Essex Heights Reserve Cricket / Futsal

Essex Heights Reserve Cricket / Futsal is a versatile community sporting facility designed and constructed by Grassports in collaboration with the City of Monash. Completed in April 2024, the 872m² development transformed the space into a high-performance multi-use training environment catering to both cricket and futsal.
Grassports undertook part of the facility design alongside the complete construction of a fully enclosed six-lane cricket net complex, featuring draw curtains separating each lane for flexible training configurations. Integrated futsal goals further enhance the functionality of the space, allowing the facility to seamlessly support multiple sports and year-round community use. The result is a durable and modern sporting precinct that maximises participation, skill development, and versatility within a compact footprint.

Project: Stadion Kanjuruhan Malang

Stadion Kanjuruhan Malang was a project of deep significance, undertaken with care and respect after the October 2022 tragedy that claimed 135 lives and injured over 580. Led by Tata Kreasindo Jaya, the renovation included rebuilding the natural grass football field and installing a World Athletics Class 2-certified Rekortan M track.
Despite tight timelines, strict safety protocols, and a grieving community, the team delivered a world-class facility. More than just infrastructure, the project became a symbol of healing, resilience, and hope — a meaningful step forward for the community and a tribute to those who were lost.

Project: Mount Lilydale Mercy College

Grassports and Mount Lilydale Mercy College collaborated to deliver a state-of-the-art sporting precinct, transforming a bare natural grass paddock into a vibrant multi-sport facility designed for both high-performance sport and everyday school use. Spanning 6,800m², the project included complete site construction works, incorporating excavation, stabilisation, drainage, fencing, and the installation of a 10mm in-situ shockpad beneath the main playing surface.
At the centre of the development is Australian-made Poligras Eco HT, an economical sand-dressed hockey system engineered to deliver durability, consistent ball roll, and excellent playability across multiple sports. Designed specifically for hockey and multi-sport environments where irrigation may be unavailable or restricted, the FIH Multi-Sport Classified surface also carries an ITF Pace Rating 4 (Medium Fast), making it ideal for combined hockey and school tennis applications. The system was used across both the olive green hockey field and the six-lane terracotta sprint track, creating a cohesive, versatile sporting environment.
The precinct also features four tennis courts with rollaway nets, hockey goals, a long jump run-up area, and a custom synthetic grass school crest by SignGrass, reinforcing school pride within this future-focused sporting hub.
